She asked what had surprised her most. Jayanthi described the moment Shastra missed a residential trip with her friends. She had expected upset. Shastra came home happy, dealt with it quietly, and moved on. The maturity of it caught her mother off guard.

She asked what had made her proud. Jayanthi talked about how Shastra had become more empathetic, how she cheered the people around her when they were struggling, how she had learned to navigate conflict with her friends and come out the other side.
