BSKL Student selected to represent Malaysia at prestigious International Mathematics Competition 2026

BSKL Year 7 student Callum has been selected to represent Malaysia at the annual International Mathematics Competition in Mongolia in July.
This selection comes after a highly competitive national selection test organised by Malaysia’s Education Ministry. Callum was chosen as one of only eight students nationwide in the Secondary School category (Form 1-3 / Year 7-9)
The competition, also known as IMC, is a prestigious international event that brings together talented young mathematicians from around the world.
“This achievement caps an excellent year of mathematical success for Callum. We are incredibly proud of his dedication, enthusiasm and accomplishments, and we wish him every success as he competes on the international stage this July,” said BSKL Mathematics Teacher Ms Hannah Morris.
Callum has proudly represented BSKL in other mathematics events throughout the 2025/2026 academic year, having participatedin at the FOBISIA Mathematics Competition in Bangkok, helping the school secure an Overall Bronze Award.
He also represented the school at the recent Kuala Lumpur Junior Mathematics Challenge (KLJMC).
