🥐 Year 5 Bread Exit Point β What a Tasty Success!
What a wonderful way to wrap up our bread unit! Our Year 5 Bread Exit Point was a huge success, and we’re so proud of everything the children achieved.
The school canteen was filled with the warm aroma of freshly baked bread, excited chatter, and proud smiles as students welcomed their parents into our very own pop-up bakery. Each child showcased their research, creativity, and baking know-how with confidence and enthusiasm — from explaining the science behind how ingredients change, to talking through the steps of the baking process they had carefully documented.
The variety of breads on offer was truly impressive, with each one reflecting thoughtful choices, experimentation, and collaboration. Parents had the chance to sample everything from classic rolls to more adventurous creations, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive — lots of full tummies and happy hearts!
We were especially proud of how the students worked as a team, supported one another, and spoke with such pride about their learning journey. It was clear just how much thought and effort had gone into each part of the process, and the result was a beautiful celebration of learning, teamwork, and creativity.
A big thank you to all the families who came to support us — your presence made the day even more special.
Well done, Year 5 — you truly rose to the challenge! ππ
