During Term 1, BVIS Hanoi students were very active in community activities. Dedicating their time as a volunteer helps them make new friends, expand their network, and boost their socialskills.
I interviewed a young man yesterday, having discovered that he was the overall winner for the Year 6 to 9 category of the Vietnam National Spelling Bee Competition.
On December 3rd and 4th, BVIS Hanoi presented their fantastic Secondary production of ‘Seussical Jr.’ to an audience of about 600 people, comprised of staff, parents and students. School productions, often musicals and always performed in English, are annual activities from the school. Theatrical productions take place in all phases of the student body.
This year, due to social distancing, parents weren't able to come to school and see their child in the International Winter Festival's performances. However, we have put together these amazing renditions of songs from countries around the world and show them via the Facebook Livestream platform last week so that parents could enjoy them from anywhere.
The show has been a triumph with stunning individual and group acting and singing performances - set amidst some of the best stage props I have ever seen in any school or professional performance.
On Tuesday, 24th of November, students from the smile club ECA went on a trip to Vietnam Cuba hospital to meet with over 60 cleft lip and cleft pallet patients.
For the whole week, our campuses have been filled with beautiful flowers gifted from parents and students to our teachers to celebrate the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day 20/11. This is a special day provides students with the opportunity to recognise the important role that teachers play in their development as well as show their appreciation and respect for their teachers’ enthusiasm and commitment
We launched a competition a few weeks back, to celebrate our love for reading and encourage our young readers to interact more with great literature. The participants had to submit a photograph that evidenced their love for reading, accompanied by a short brief.
Today, we have an interview with Lee Hanol, who scored three A grades in his A Level examinations in June 2020. He is currently studying Psychology at Yonsei University, Korea - Top 3 in Korea & top 25 university in QS World Ranking 2020.
