• How safe is the campus?

  Safety is one of our highest priorities. Our campus is designed with your family’s security in mind, featuring 24/7 on-site security personnel to ensure constant vigilance and rapid response when needed. We have a comprehensive CCTV surveillance network providing round-the-clock monitoring, along with automatic locking gate systems and controlled electronic access to prevent unauthorized entry. Strict ID protocols further reinforce campus security. 
  
  For added peace of mind, an on-campus nurse is available to assist with any health-related concerns. Additionally, our bus service includes GPS tracking, allowing parents to monitor routes and pick-up times in real time.
• How many students are at the school?

  The school has 800+ students.
• What is the admissions process like?

  We offer a rolling admissions process, allowing us to welcome students throughout the year. When it comes to the admissions process, we like to keep things personal and simple. We’ll guide you step by step — from scheduling a tour with us to submitting the application, transcripts and recommendation forms, followed by interviews, placement tests, and preparing for your child’s first day.
• Do you offer bus service?

  Yes, we offer door-to-door bus service for an additional fee across multiple areas, including San Rafael de Alajuela, La Guácima, Ciudad Colón, Brasil de Mora, Lindora, Santa Ana, Pozos, Guachipelín, Cerro Alto, Alto de las Palomas, Escazú Centro, San Rafael de Ojo de Agua, Pavas, Rohrmoser, Sabana, San Antonio de Escazú, Barrio Corazón de Jesús, San Antonio de Belén, and Cariari. We also provide after-school bus service for added convenience. Routes are organized by area and may be adjusted based on demand.
• What are the college destinations for your graduates?

  Country Day School alumni have matriculated to some of the top universities in the country and around the world. For the Class of 2025, acceptances include prestigious institutions such as McGill University, the University of St Andrews, the University of Michigan, The University of Edinburgh, Imperial College London, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), New York University (NYU), Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), and Northeastern University.

• Do you offer before or after-school care?

  At the high school there are extra-curricular activities occurring after school including sports and tutoring. However, there is no school-run after care and students are expected to be off campus by the end of carpool (approx. 3:00pm).
