At Champittet Nyon we have a tradition to start the academic year with school outings that set the right tone for a great year. This is a memorable moment spent with classmates and teachers outside the classroom.

First grade students went to the Servion Zoo, where they were able to see, among other animals, the snow leopard cubs, which is quite a rare occurrence, as the snow leopard rarely reproduces in captivity.

Second and fourth grade students went to the Tropicarium, where they saw the unique albino Galapagos turtle that was born this year. They also saw the Komodo dragon, penguins, reptiles, spiders, frogs and different birds. They met with a park keeper with whom they got to see and touch snake and tarantula molts, ostrich eggs and crocodile eggs. What an experience!

Third grade students rode trains at Suisse Vapeur Parc. They had the chance to ride two brand new 100% electric trains which were introduced as part of the ecological transition.

The students in grades five to eight were up in the air, tree climbing at Signal de Bougy

Meanwhile, our preschool students took advantage of having the school grounds just for themselves. They rode tricycles all around the playground and had a good time in the Forest School, where they explored the garden using magnifying glasses. Also, they played in the sand pit for the first time.

All students thoroughly enjoyed this day and came back full of good memories.
