School outings and fantastic discoveries for our junior students

Every September, all students eagerly anticipate our tradition of starting the school year with exciting educational trips. While secondary students take a multi-day trip across Switzerland and Europe, our younger students (from preschool to 6th grade) also embark on some unforgettable adventures away from the classroom!

On Thursday, 21 September, students at the Nyon campus left their classrooms behind for some outdoor exploration. The youngest enjoyed an enchanting day surrounded by nature at the adventure park Forestland. Between trampolines and bouncy castles, there was hardly a moment to catch our breath!

Meanwhile, older students didn’t let the rain stop them from exploring, climbing, and discovering fascinating animals at the Tropicarium in Servion. From Komodo dragons to African penguins and Galápagos tortoises, what a way to learn about endangered species and the importance of biodiversity! An underground adventure also awaited them at the Bex Salt Mines, where they learnt about the fascinating history of salt extraction in the Alps.

On Friday, 22 September, excitement was at its peak for our Pully students. They experienced an energetic day of nature-based adventures, discovering the rich world of animals and plants while also enjoying time for sports.

At the leisure park Signal de Bougy, our students got plenty of exercise with outdoor games and activities. They took a walk on the wild side at the Tropicarium and the Servion Zoo, and plunged into the world of underwater life at Maison de la Rivière and the one-of-a-kind Aquatis aquarium and vivarium in Lausanne. And at Bivouac dans les Arbres, our students discovered more than 3,000 species of plants from around the world – while walking barefoot! Feeling the earth beneath our toes and smelling the fragrance of plants from different continents gave us a unique chance to contemplate the diversity of nature.

What a day! Much more than just an outing, this annual trip provided thrilling new experiences in sport, culture and nature, creating lasting memories for our students.
