Message du directeur - Message du directeur

Dear Champiteans

The recent Swiss Maturité examinations demonstrated exceptional resilience among our students and teachers. After the tragedy in Crans-Montana, many were unable to even consider sitting the exams, which were due to begin two weeks later. Still in shock and dismay, they were unable to concentrate on their revision and feared facing the stress of exams that were crucial for their university admissions.

Meanwhile, the reunion between them at the start of the new term on 5 January, a student assembly during which one of them, Ulysse, showed incredible personal maturity in his speech, and the support of the teachers with whom they had long-standing relationships of trust, bore fruit.

The 13th grade students, who were taking their first mid-term exams, achieved very high marks, which bodes well for their final success in a year's time. None of them failed. As for the 14th grade students, apart from one student who knew he would have to retake his exams since the first mid-term exams in 2025, all passed with an exceptional average score of 102.7 points! One student, Alexandra H., broke the school's all-time record with 122 points.

The mission of teachers, already complicated in this era of social media that distracts young people's attention, was presented with an unprecedented challenge in their professional lives due to the psychological climate of this January. They can now say that they have succeeded in the face of adversity.

This is the very definition of resilience: not only overcoming a difficulty, but emerging from it stronger and more human.
Well done to the students and teachers.
