The summer holidays provide the ideal time to discover new experiences and forge friendships beyond the classroom. Here are some ideas to help your child make the most of their summer break while resting and recharging for the next school year.

Join our Holiday Club or Summer Leadership Camp

At Collège Champittet, we have designed a wide variety of children’s summer programmes that blend outdoor adventure, teamwork, leadership development, sports and creativity in an inspiring environment.

Our Champittet Summer Leadership Camp offers day and boarding options for students aged 11 to 17. Participants enjoy outdoor excursions, hands-on activities and leadership workshops led by IMD Business School, EHL Hospitality School of Lausanne and the International Olympic Committee.

Our Holiday Club offers tailor-made activities suited to each age group and designed to cater for every interest. With camps focusing on music, multi-sports, tennis, swimming, sailing, nano, science, coding, and for early years,  there really is something for everyone!

Our camps are open to students from any school, not just Champittet, making them the perfect place to meet new friends, learn new skills and stay active over the summer.

Build reading habits with our summer reading lists

With the longer days of summer, there’s no better time to get lost in a good book. This summer, why not make regular reading a goal for the whole family?
Developing a strong reading habit is a great way to maintain language skills, expand vocabulary and spark your child’s imagination. Try setting aside time every day for reading together with your child – or creating a family reading challenge.

Discover other enriching summer activities

Whether your family will be travelling far or staying close to home this summer, there are many ways in which you can encourage your child to explore new interests, build confidence and develop valuable skills. Here are some suggestions:
Visit museums, science centres and historical sites.
Explore nature through hikes, wildlife observation or gardening.
Start a creative project such as writing a story, photography or keeping a travel journal.
Learn a new skill: coding, cooking, music or a foreign language.
Involve your child in planning your next family trip by researching destinations, comparing costs and discovering local cultures and traditions.

We wish your family a joyful summer filled with adventure, discovery and lasting memories!
