Workshop presented by DCIS Therapists to help deal with picky eaters, poor sleepers and building family relationships

On Wednesday, 14th June DCIS will be putting on a Parent Workshop entitled Family Health where our DCIS Therapists will cover the following subjects:

  • Picky Eater vs Problem Feeder
  • Family Exercise
  • Improving Sleep Patterns
  • Building Family Relationships

Click here to register your attendance.

Speech and Language Therapist, Melanie Yates, will demonstrate the difference between picky eater vs problem feeders and give strategies to help your children become better overall eaters. Our Physiotherapist Andre De Sousa will show how family-based activities such as bike rides and walks can provide exercise as well as a time to improve communication. Vivienne Scott (Educational Psychologist) will cover the importance of proper sleep patterns for the whole family. Finally, the Department of Supportive Education (DSE) Leader Alison Ford will talk about the importance of Quality Time in building strong family relationships.

The content will be relevant for all families and age groups. All therapists will be available to answer your questions afterwards and we greatly look forward to seeing you at this insightful workshop.
