Variety of performances from baroque music to pop and rock

In Music Assembly, Secondary students enjoyed a varied array of performances that ranged from baroque music to pop and rock.

Highlights of the morning include an opening piano solo, 'Polonaise' by Chopin in the virtuosic hands of Mio (Year 6) followed by the Chamber Orchestra's interpretation of Bach's double violin concerto.  The Night Owls engaged the audience with their rendition of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Our all girl bands Revod and 21 Centuries delighted the audience playing 'Believer' by Imagine Dragons and 'History' by One Direction. The assembly closed with an emotional performance of 'For Good' from the musical Wicked, in the enchanting voice of Ida (Year 7).
