This weeks Parent Workshop was based on Read Write Inc which is the Phonics and Spelling scheme that we use in the Primary School
Parents took part in a range of practical activities to think about the importance of Phonics and Spelling, especially in the absence of an automated spell checker. We looked at how phonics provide children with the necessary skills to become confident readers and writers.
In the next few weeks, we will be putting together some further information on spelling games and spelling concerns.
