We took a stroll down the busy Serangoon Road, Buffalo Street and the Little India Arcade to embrace and experience the rich Indian culture, customs and traditions.
The cluster of heritage-rich shop houses lining the streets were buzzing with activities…aromatic and colourful flower garland shops, spice shops, intricate crafted jewellery shop, colourful Indian Sari shop and many more. Students immersed themselves in the colourful and vibrant sights and smells of Little India. We ended our walk at Tekka Market to sample the famous savoury Indian ‘Nasi Briyani’ (yellow rice with spicy curry chicken/mutton or fish) before returning back to school.
