As part of our ongoing PSHE provision for secondary students, this week the workshop focused on Managing Mental Health, Stress and Anxiety.
Students learned how stress is a natural response to situations which our brain perceives as dangerous. The students learned how our brains can be trained to manage stress better and practised breathing exercises and positive thinking strategies to help them calm and reflect in stressful situations.
Students were encouraged to push themselves through, rather than avoid challenges as this is important for personal growth and developing resilience.
