Year 5 Residential Trip to Telunas, Indonesia DCIS Year 5 Students travelled to Telunas, Indonesia for their annual Residential Trip.

On Tuesday 4th December, Year 5 students and staff set off from school on a journey comprising of buses, ferries and long boats through picturesque mangroves and across a calm sea. Arriving at Telunas Beach resort, we were greeted with instrumental drum music, warm smiles and a welcome drink. After settling into our dormitories, we were ready to begin the group activities.

During our stay, we participated in a variety of activities that built our confidence, developed our collaboration skills and further deepened our understanding and appreciation of our surrounding environment. Exploring the local Indonesian culture, we particularly enjoyed fishing, crabbing and shrimping on the beach.

It genuinely was a fantastic trip and I was very proud of the Year 5 students who were exceptionally well-behaved, polite and engaged in all activities. Many happy memories made.
