Since a young age, I have held a very special place for language and literature in my heart. As I grew older, it became clear that this was the right path for me. My passion for the English language drove me into my first college experience at Universidade de São Paulo where I got my Language & Literature degrees for both Portuguese & English. During my college years, I found myself deeply interested in Education, more specifically early language development and bilingual language instruction. In 2010 I embraced the spark, took on my first job in Education, and I haven't left a classroom since. After completing my Licentiate degree and Pedagogy degree over the past five years, I have now been dedicating myself to keeping up-to-date with trends and developments through self-study, constantly seeking opportunities for professional development in the area.
Starting off at BCB as Teaching Assistant, I have worked across different year groups, with children ranging from 2 years old to 10, and this is now my third year as a class teacher in Early Years at BCB. I passionately support the importance of play in young children's learning journey. I also believe our pupils grow, thrive, and shine their brightest when surrounded by an environment where they feel safe, respected, heard, encouraged, and understood.
Traveling and spending time on the seaside are my top choices for the holidays. I absolutely love to visit new places and discover relaxing destinations. If you were to spot me on my time off, chances are you would see me visiting family and friends, doing some gardening, catching up on some long-postponed reading, playing board games, watching movies, and attempting some yoga.
