Mrs. Anna Davis

Anna

Deputy Head of Secondary

I am Anna Davis and I am thrilled to have joined the BCB team this year. I have come from Switzerland where I was Head of Primary. Born in Poland, I have lived in Germany, England, Italy, Ecuador and Qatar and I am now looking forward to settle in Brazil. I am a passionate linguist and I will be teaching Spanish as a foreign language at BCB. I have 20 years secondary and primary teaching experience both in the UK and internationally.

I hold a Bachelor in Modern Languages and European Studies from the University of Bath, a secondary PGCE in Foreign Languages from the University of Bristol and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Nottingham.

At BCB, I am accompanied by husband, Mark Davis, who is a secondary PE teacher and our two children, Ella in Year 3 and Henry in Year 4. Although only a week back, we already feel part of the BCB family and feel very welcomed by all the members of the school community.

I am passionate about working with young learners and consider education a vital part of my life. I think that children benefit from being encouraged to be active participants in their individual learning journeys and believe in themselves and the abilities of others. We are here to inspire and support them to achieve academic, social and emotional success in order to make a positive contribution to the world in which we live. I feel, therefore, privileged to look after the Pastoral Team at BCB and to prepare them for their international future.
