My solid foundation in the Portuguese Area also came from previous work experience: I taught private Portuguese lessons for secondary and high
schools students, as I worked for the company GI (Grupo Integração, that works with COC and Objetivo schools). I also was an intern at the school Dante Alighieri, where I observed and learned how to teach Portuguese in an interdisciplinary perspective.
I have been working for BCB since 2016 both in the English and now in the Portuguese curriculum which allows me to have a whole perspective on a child's education. BCB teaches me every day to live with different cultures and to continue pursuing a good education throughout Nord Anglia University Courses.
On my free time, I enjoy reading, watching plays and operas and writing poetry. My favorite authors are Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and Graciliano Ramos. As I was born in Alagoas, I love dancing forró, cooking typical foods from the Brazilian northeast culture and believe that differences constitute us. As a Portuguese teacher, I truly believe in the uniqueness of each child to make them find their own voice linguistically, personally and empower them.
