Mr. Lucas Clemente

Lucas Clemente

Portuguese Teacher

The British College of Brazil always impressed me by all the learning opportunities offered to our students. Children really enjoy their day in school and I believe that our multicultural community creates an inspiring environment, not only for them but also for all the amazing staff.

I always had a passion for learning and researching curiosities about life, so I took my B.S and B.Ed in Biological Sciences. After graduating, I had the opportunity to join the University of São Paulo's Master programme in Public Health and Sustainability. This experience showed me how education is vital in our society in so many different levels. With that in mind, I got my degree in Pedagogy, which enriched my practice and raised my standards to engage, inspire and teach.

I believe educating children gives the next generation the tools to create a path to a promising future. I have been working in the educational area in many different positions and environments and, as a constructivist formed teacher, I’m committed to always explore strategies for meaningful learning experiences and its accessibility for all children, regardless of their individual barriers.

When I am not teaching, I like to travel, surf and cook. Being surrounded by nature is always a good call. I really enjoy movies and I love the scent of fresh coffee in the morning.

What students say:

"Mr. Clemente, I want to be your student next year!"

"I really like your lessons! Can we have a lesson tomorrow too?"
