Abandoned for nearly 3 years, the vegetable garden next to the Payot building comes back to life since September 2016, when Irène Kelliny was asked to take care of it. Each week during sports class, groups of 6 to 8 students of 6th grade take turns to look after it. An activity that they do with enthusiasm and that allows them to practice their mathematics skills (by counting the number of vegetables one seed can give, for example), but also teaches them about nature. To ensure the success of this activity, Mrs Kelliny had to choose vegetables that the children like. Carrots, for example. The harvest is shared between the students, who can take them home. A productive activity, but also a way to learn by having fun.
