I was born in Costa Rica and have lived here most of my life. I had the opportunity to move to Chicago in 2000 and worked at an amazing school district until 2005. I worked in various capacities in the district, such as a preschool teacher in a self-contained classroom, as well as with a program for children at-risk. In addition, I also worked on a Family Literacy Program as well as teaching computer skills to senior citizens.
When I returned to Costa Rica in 2005, I worked in a daycare with infants between the ages of four months up to four years old. It was in 2012 that I had the possibility to return to my home away from home, CDS. I taught Kindergarten for one year and after I moved to Prep, I have loved it ever since.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, taking my dogs out for walks, reading about teaching, and doing home projects.
