I studied in the Costa Rican public schools and graduated from The University of Costa Rica where I received a licentiate degree in Elementary Education. Later, I was able to receive a scholarship which allowed me to continue my studies and obtain a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Framingham State University.
I started working at Country Day School in 1993 in different capacities. CDS has been the only school I have had the pleasure of working in and where I have developed not only my teaching skills but the house that I have grown personally. Here I have taught different grade levels starting as an assistant and then as a teacher. I have found that Early Childhood has the age groups that are most enjoyable and fun as this is the age of discovery and growth!
I enjoy art, love science and math, and love integrating and exploring those subjects with the children in a way that we can develop language in a different way. I love to watch the awakening of their curiosity and discovering the world around them without fears. I love to see how children become aware of their talents and work to develop their skills.
