Elementary School Counselor
First Grade Teacher
While I was studying International Relations at the U.A.C.A. University in San José, Costa Rica, I was asked to work as a teacher’s assistant at Lincoln School. This prospect was very exciting to me as it meant returning to the school that I had graduated from and held fond memories of. To my surprise, on the first day on the job, I realized that I had found my true passion.
Elementary Assistant
I am the oldest daughter of my beautiful family of 8 members; as well, I’m a mom of a 5 years old boy, my Thiago. In 2018, I graduated from high school in Nuestra Señora del Pilar School, in Escazú. That same year, I started missionary work in different places in Costa Rica. I went every year for four years and my heart was touched by every single child that I met. They each had different stories and different lifestyles, but always the same love and sincerity. I knew that my life was destined to work with children. I have a degree in preschool assistant program from Universidad Juan Pablo ll.
I currently love working with international children and was fortunate to have my two children also join me in this excellent school. I have met and experienced great families and friends, through these past twenty years.
Hi! My name is Paola Chavarría I’m from Costa Rica. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Preschool Education, and a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and a Postgraduate Degree in Learning Disabilities from Universidad Veritas.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Bilingual Preschool Education from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. After graduating in 2007, I started working at Country Day School as a Teaching Assistant. I have worked with all levels of Early Childhood. This 2020 will be my first year working in Elementary School.
Second Grade Teacher
I have been working at Country Day School since 2014 teaching Prep and 1st Grade. Here I have enjoyed combining the elements of each teaching style into my classroom, becoming more confident in my own eclectic style of teaching.
