Catalina Castro - Country Day School

Fourth Grade Teacher

This is my 18th year teaching and my fourth year in  Country Day School and I feel this is my home. I love teaching fourth grade and I cannot picture myself doing something else every day.

After receiving my bachelor of Special Education from the Universidad de Costa Rica I started working for Ministerio de Educación as a special education teacher in the special support services for 5 years. I was responsible for the curricular adaptations of students from 1st to 6th grade. I was relocated to Liberia, Guanacaste and the opportunity to work in a private international school came up. I worked for 5 years in early childhood and first grade.

When I moved back to San José I worked teaching first grade in a private school. I received my Licenciatura in Educational Administration.
