Karyn Solís

Karyn Solís - Country Day School

English Language Development Teacher

My name is Karyn Solis and I have been working in CDS for more than thirty years. I majored in the English Language at the University of Costa Rica and obtained a Master’s in Education from Framingham State University.

In my long and very satisfying career at CDS, I have worked as a 4th grade, 2nd grade, and ELD teacher. I have also taught at the University of Costa Rica and co-authored the program “Language Links” published by Steck-Vaughn. I have attended TESOL and WIDA International conferences which have enriched my teaching. Getting the opportunity to work with students from all over the world and watching them communicate proficiently in English, has been the highlight of my career. This year I’m very happy to get to go back to the classroom and co-teach fourth grade.
