My name is Katia Delgado. I was born and grew up in Costa Rica.
When I finished High School, I decided to study Preschool Education I love working with children; it's wonderful to see their growth and development.
After I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Preschool Education at the Universidad de Costa Rica, I worked for two years at a small Preschool as a daycare teacher.
Later I started to work at an Elementary School as a homeroom teacher for five years. Meanwhile, I was working, I started to study to obtain my Master's Degree in Psychopedagogy at the Universidad La Salle, for I wanted to have more tools to allow me to help more effectively children with learning disabilities.
When I finished my master's I begin working with the Costa Rican Ministry of Education, as a National Coordinator of the New Opportunities Program. In this position, I was in charge of the organization of the 9th-grade national testing of the same program.
When the program was cancelled, I started to work at Country Day School, that has been my work place for the last nine years. I am a Spanish Teacher as a Second Language.
I enjoy dancing, going for walks, and going to the movies. I love crafts and I have a small jewerly company.
