I started my teaching career at Country Day School in the year 2000 as a Prep teacher assistant in the Early Childhood house, while pursuing my English Teaching Bachelor Degree from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica.
In 2003 I was invited to the Elementary school to become part of the English Language Development team.
Up to date, I have been welcoming, teaching and helping English Language Learners, 1st to 5th grade, from beginner to advanced levels. I strive to make all students feel confident in the environment as they learn the language, and as I learn from them.
I have continuously participated in Professional Learning Communities creating and revising ELD curriculum for beginner primary students and attended various educational training such as TESOL convention and other literacy and English workshops and seminars.
Throughout my years at CDS I have formed part of Sunshine Committee, Health Fair Committee and Book Month.
