Mariana Montealegre

Mariana Montealegre - Country Day School

Fourth Grade Teacher

Hi! My name is Mariana Montealegre and I am from Costa Rica, a “Pura Vida” country. I have a bachelor’s degree in Preschool education and I’m currently working on my master’s degree as a learning specialist. I truly believe in engaging my students through their hard work and personal experiences. Giving them the freedom and self-confidence to succeed has helped them grow as independent thinkers.

A very important aspect of my classroom is building community and awareness of everyone around us. My classroom works hard to become a family where we can be ourselves without being judged.

I’ve worked at CDS for four years now and it has become my second home. I feel the passion of my co-workers and the curiosity to become better every single day. I trust that this teaching environment has helped us succeed and grow as a family too.

I don’t have children of my own, but I have four dogs that are part of my family. I love cooking, painting, and going out. I’m very excited to continue giving the best of me to such a beautiful school. Being part of my students growing process makes me happy and proud, I look forward to many more years of teaching pure souls.
