Hi! My name is Mariana Montealegre and I am from Costa Rica, a “Pura Vida” country. I have a bachelor’s degree in Preschool education and I’m currently working on my master’s degree as a learning specialist. I truly believe in engaging my students through their hard work and personal experiences. Giving them the freedom and self-confidence to succeed has helped them grow as independent thinkers.
A very important aspect from my classroom is building community and awareness of everyone around us. My classroom works hard to become a family where we can be ourselves without being judged. My biggest inspiration has been my mother that currently works in this amazing school. She was the one who inspired me to become a teacher.
I’ve worked at CDS for four years now and it has become my second home. I feel the passion of my co-workers and the curiosity to become better every single day. I trust that this teaching environment has helped us succeed and grow as a family too.
I don’t have children of my own, but I have four dogs that are part of my family. I love cooking, painting and going out. I’m very excited to continue giving the best of me in such a beautiful school. Being part of my students growing process makes me happy and proud, I look forward to many more years of teaching pure souls.
