Paola Chavarría

Paola Chavarría - Country Day School

First Grade Teacher

Hi! My name is Paola Chavarría I’m from Costa Rica. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Bilingual Preschool Education, and a Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, and a Postgraduate Degree in Learning Disabilities from Universidad Veritas.

I have been teaching for thirteen years in Costa Rica and this is my second year in Country Day School. I love it, I have grown as a professional during these years in a positive way.

I always look forward to learning more and becoming better as a professional. I'm not afraid to ask because this is the way we learn. This is something I teach my students: to never be afraid of asking because we grow by making mistakes.

This school has taught me to be more confident in my way of teaching, and that's something I appreciate a lot.

I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends in my free time.
