I got my Physical Education Bachelor’s degree at the University of Costa Rica and my dual credited Master’s degree at the United Sports Academy at Daphne, Alabama in Sports Medicine and Sports Fitness Management. I have been teaching for 28 years, 18 years of which have been at CDS.
My first eight years at CDS I coached the boys' varsity basketball team and for the last ten years, I have been coaching the varsity girls team. I became the Athletic Coordinator for CDS in 2004.
I played first division basketball in Costa Rica as well as competing on the National Costa Rican team. I was an International Champion of basketball in Central America. I played on a Pan American Master basketball team and we obtain second place. I have been working with the National Girls basketball team for eleven years and have been the head coach the last two. I coached the U-14 National team that won the Central America tournament in El Salvador, 2018. Right now I am coaching boys basketball from 7 to 19 years old in Santa Ana. I am coaching the U-15 girls Costa Rica National team that will play the Central and Caribbean tournament in November in Mexico.
