After graduating high school in a suburb outside of Vancouver, I began at Simon Fraser University (SFU) while also working in sporting goods retail. I worked my way up to store management by the time I graduated SFU, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. (Geography major, history minor).
Family connections led me down to Costa Rica in 2001, where I began teaching in the middle school at The European School in Heredia. In 2008 I moved over to Country Day School and have taught Advanced Placement and all other levels of high school Social Studies. I truly enjoy working with students at Country Day, as they are comprised of countries around the world and bring their own unique perspectives to class.
