Paul Carpy

Paul Carpy - Country Day School

Mathematics Teacher & Yearbook Coordinator

After graduating with a BSc (Hons.) Degree in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of Glasgow, I spent almost a decade traveling whilst teaching. Specifically, I worked in Italy and Chile as well as visiting a number of South American countries. I then flew to Costa Rica in 2009 expecting to be here just a few years at the most but my love for the country has ensured that I'm still here today!

I have now been teaching mathematics at CDS for over 5 years. What I love most about CDS students is their motivation and drive within the classroom - they are always eager to get that final correct answer regardless of how much blood, sweat, and tears are required!

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football, and playing the guitar.
