This is my fourth year working at Country Day School, where I work at the middle school as a 6th/7th grade science teacher. This move was especially meaningful to me, as I was a student at CDS in Escazú from kindergarten through 6th grade. Several of my past elementary school teachers continue to work at CDS, attesting to the strong community ties within the school. I feel privileged to work within such an uplifting environment.
I grew up near Alajuela, Costa Rica from ages 4-12 surrounded by the Costa Rican family of my father, and my American mother. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work in a profession that served others. I am a multicultural child who appreciates the value of diversity in all its forms, and the strength that diversity brings to humanity. I appreciate the simplicity of life in Costa Rica and the cultural emphasis on family. I plan to remain here and raise my son in this beautiful country. In addition to teaching, I love to travel, spend time with my family, go to the beach, sample the local cuisine, and spend time with my dogs!
