NIS 3rd place winner

NIS Jakarta wins 3rd place in JASIS Athletics Tournament

On Saturday, 26th August, NIS international school in Jakarta joined the JASIS Athletic event in Bogor. This year, 27 eager contestants divided over five age groups from NIS participated.

  • warming up
  • track running
  • jumping over a barrier
  • long jump
  • water gun competition
  • NIS students at JASIS in Bogor

The day started with the individual sprint events. The NIS team where extremely fast, keeping most of the other competitors at bay. When the sprints ended, the students competed in nine team events (javelin, stocking throw, etc.). The children put in their best performances, despite the fact that it was a blisteringly hot day.  The team held 2nd place for most of the day, cheered on by our parents and supporters.  During the final relay event, perhaps a little tired after a busy morning, we dropped one place, but we were still incredibly proud to be the 3rd place winners of the day!

If you run into some of these young NIS athletes, please congratulate them on this amazing result.
