In February, we invited your children to participate in Nord Anglia Education’s annual Visual Arts Competition. The theme this year is ‘Climate Change’ and children could use any medium they liked to illustrate their thinking about this.
Ms Esther has been working with the Early Years children and together they have produced this fantastic mural:
A child’s perspective on global warming
Through this collaborative artwork the Early Years children were trying to find a solution to climate change. They visualised the challenges of a warming planet and discovered opportunities to overcome them through innovation and resilience. For example, the background paint is made up of natural materials: flour, salt, and spices.
Ms Sophie, assisted by Ms Lou, has led a programme of art sessions on Thursday afternoons to help the Primary Years children develop their skills in preparation for a final piece of artwork to submit to the competition.
Below are some of the beautiful pieces our children have made. Congratulations to all our children who have taken part in this competition!
