I have been delighted to meet so many new and returning families through the virtual getting to know you coffee mornings over the past few weeks and thank you for your participation. BSY clearly has a wonderful community and I certainly felt very welcome, supported and lucky to have joined such a great school. In these meetings it was evident that parents value the work we do and know that the children are receiving the best virtual school experience. Our common objective of returning to face to face learning as soon as possible is an eagerly awaited one. I want to re-affirm that Nord Anglia Education is committed to BSY, we will return to re-open the campus as soon as it is safe and feasible to do so. In the meantime our priority is to deliver the very best education whilst safeguarding and promoting wellbeing at all times. By the time you read this, Primary and Secondary students should all have had the opportunity to collect some learning resources or library books from school. Whilst we cannot open campus we are keen to support all of our families to get the most out of their learning and this is one way to help.
As we approach the Thadingyut Holiday, we can reflect on the achievements of this half term; the launch of a range and variety of engaging after school clubs, increasing Global Campus participation, student leadership opportunities and the appointment of our senior Head Girl and Prefects, Class Reps and House Captains.
A special congratulations from me to our senior student leadership team:
Head Girl: Julia H
Senior Prefects: Bianca T and Piti L
Prefect: Yubin C
During this time of virtual school, it is more important than ever to give our students wider opportunities and I would ask that you encourage your children to get involved in as much as possible. No time like the present to jump in and learn a new skill!
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable holiday and looking forward to another half term of outstanding learning.
