The 3 day event brought together young leaders from across the region under the inspiring theme “Leading Beyond Limits.” It was a dynamic programme filled with powerful discussions, hands on workshops, and thought provoking keynote sessions designed to expand perspectives and strengthen leadership skills of the students.

Throughout the conference, BSY students were immersed in activities that encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones. Interactive sessions focused on creative problem solving, while resilience building challenges tested their ability to adapt and persevere. Collaborative projects through drama, dance, debate, service, and sport highlighted the importance of agility and impact in leadership, showing students how diverse approaches can inspire meaningful change.

One of the standout moments was hearing from Rob Lilwall, NatGeo TV Adventurer and author, whose keynote address offered real world insights on vision, courage, and the value of embracing uncertainty. His stories of exploration and perseverance resonated deeply, encouraging students to think boldly about their own leadership journeys and the importance of leading with purpose.

Equally valuable was the opportunity to network with peers from other international schools. Students exchanged ideas, collaborated on tasks, and built friendships that extended beyond the conference. These connections provided fresh perspectives and reinforced the idea that leadership is not about standing alone, but about working together to achieve shared goals.

The impact of the conference was transformative. Our delegates returned to BSY with new confidence, fresh ideas, and a stronger sense of purpose. They are now equipped with practical tools and renewed inspiration to lead with compassion, resilience, and innovation within our school community.

We are incredibly proud of how our students represented BSY on this international stage. Their enthusiasm, commitment, and willingness to embrace challenges reflect the values we hold as a school. The FOBISIA Student Leadership Conference was a milestone in their leadership journey, and we look forward to seeing how they apply what they have learned to make a positive difference here at BSY and beyond.
