We have finally arrived at the end of term and the conclusion of the academic year. As I noted in my Awards Presentation Opening Address, it has been a challenging yet rewarding year and one that ends with great promise as the school looks to reopen physically for the first time in almost two and half years.
As is always the case in an international school setting, we say goodbye to a number of our community members as they move on to pastures new. Whilst this is often a time of sadness, it is also a time when we can reflect on the progress made, goals achieved and the fond memories created. I'd like to wish all those community members moving on the best of luck as they embrace new experiences beyond BSY.
Whilst some community members will move on, many remain and will attend BSY in August 2022 when the school welcomes a full quota of students for the first time since March 17th, 2020. At the same time the community will be enriched by the new students, families and staff that are joining our community. It is a hugely exciting time for these students and staff given the prolonged absence from campus.
Regardless of whether you are moving on, returning or joining BSY for the first time in August 2022, I'd like to wish you a restful, safe and fulfilling few weeks between now and then. BSY truly is a special community.
Have a lovely summer break.
