Marlena Das

Art Teacher

Mrs Das is a Visual Arts teacher with a passion for drawing, painting, sculpture and working with textiles. She loves incorporating ecology and current issues in the art classroom while creatively up-cycling everyday items to raise awareness of their carbon cycle and give them a new life.

Qualifications

Fashion Design and Fine Art, Fashion Institute of Technology in New York (USA) Bachelor of Science in Child Studies with Child Psychology, fCharter Oak College (USA) PGCE in Secondary Art,University of Sunderland (UK).

About 

Mrs Das loves incorporating ecology and current issues in the art classroom while creatively up-cycling everyday items to raise awareness of their carbon cycle and give them a new life.

Mrs Das has taught art and design across age groups, in international schools and not-for-profit organisations in India, Malaysia, and China. She is a certified children’s yoga teacher and loves sharing movement meditations with her students. 

In her spare time Mrs Das enjoys painting and sewings as well as dance, yoga, running and travel.
