Karen Simpson

Karen Simpson

Head of Key Stage 5 & History Teacher

Ms Simpson has taught internationally for over 20 years. She has held several middle and senior leadership positions, however, she is never happier than when in the classroom. 

Qualification

BA (hons) Social and Economic History, Manchester Metropolitan University

PGCE, TEFL Certificate,  Liverpool University

About

Ms Simpson has been fortunate enough to be Key Stage 5 coordinator in several previous schools, including most recently IBDP co-ordinator at NAIS Hong Kong. She is passionate about teaching and learning and very much enjoys challenging students to be independent, open-minded, global citizens. 

Outside of school, Miss Simpson enjoys outdoor activities, she has in the past run the Hangzhou and Seville half-marathons, however now enjoys hiking.  She is an avid Liverpool football fan, as well as taking a keen interest in most sports. As her resume highlights, she has in the past enjoyed travelling.
