10 Days of Chinese New Year: Day 7

10 February 2015

On Day 7 of Chinese New Year, the History department got involved and held a quiz on Chinese history. Our CNY reporters Frederick and William tell us what kind of questions they were asked.

China’s history is profound and breathtaking. On Day 7 of our 10 Days of Chinese New Year, some history classes were offered a quiz about Chinese history. The quiz included a total of twelve questions, including ones about modern Chinese history, such as Mao Zedong (China’s liberation), Deng Xiaoping (China’s reform) and other eras. There is also Terracotta (the emperor who unified the six kingdoms), Marco Polo (the first European to come to China). In the end, most of the groups got eight or nine points, showing that, in fact, their understanding of China's history is of a high level.
