Year 4 students making music with students from the Huaxin Rehabilitation Centre
4S had the privilege of listening to them perform a beautiful song, with lots of drumming! Students in 4S then performed ‘Count on me,’ to the Huaxin students. We ended the performance with both sets of students making and copying drumming patterns with each other. It was such a touching moment to see how well students of BISS Puxi interacted and engaged with Huaxin students.
The ceremony ended with lots of hugs and a presentation of a donation from our school, which will allow Huaxin to be able to continue to provide the relevant support and rehabilitation these children need. We are sure our support for this amazing charity will continue to grow from strength to strength over the coming years.
We asked some of the children in 4S how they enjoyed the morning…
“I enjoyed it because we could see children who have different experiences than us.” - Angus
“I really enjoyed their music and even though they have difficulties, they played really well.” - Kat
“All the children made a friend!” - Lucy
“It was really a beautiful sight to see the children make music for us.” - Asia
