The aim of ECAs is to ignite passions that may become life-long. As adults our interest in taking part in activities often began at school where we learned the basics of a future hobby or even a future profession. A few of the parents who attended our new Community Choir told me that they were so pleased to have an opportunity to once again take part in singing as they hadn’t done it since school!
This term there are some interesting new additions to the range of ECAs on offer. An Animal Club, Storytelling through Art and Performance, Wilderness Survival Skills, to name a few, have been added. Mrs Riordan’s Club of Awesome has got us all speculating!
Altogether approximately 700 children have the opportunity to take part in ECAs. It takes a great deal of organisation and there are bound to be disappointments. Please support us if we can’t always give children their preferred choices and help children deal with any disappointment. Help us by getting applications in on time and check carefully that the clubs on offer are for your particular child’s year group. We are always grateful for your support.
