Rather than worrying about what has happened or might happen, and develop skills that will enable you to respond skilfully to whatever is happening right now, be that good or bad, come and join our mindfulness group.
The programme is part of the wider Well-being programme that is being developed for our whole school community.
We will be using Professor Mark Williams’, ‘Mindfulness, A Practical Guide to finding peace in a frantic world.’ It is generally regarded as an excellent resource for understanding and developing skills of Mindfulness.
Professor Williams is Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre where much of the work on the use of Mindfulness in schools is currently being developed. You can read more about this here.
There will be an introduction to the programme on Wednesday 13 January at 8:45am.
To participate in the course fully, you will need the book which is available on Amazon and is called
‘Mindfulness, Finding Peace in a Frantic World’ by Mark Williams and Danny Penman.
The programme will run for 8 sessions on a Wednesday morning from 8:45-9:45 on the following dates,
3, 17, 24 February
2, 9, 16 March
The sessions will be held in the Primary School, Room 321, The Den located opposite the library.
If you would like to join the group, please email me here.
