Our Visit to the Zoo

07 November 2016

Last Friday, Year 1 went off in search of animals! The sun was shining and we excitedly climbed aboard the buses and made our way to Shanghai Zoo.

When we arrived we were amazed by all of the different animals. Some of our favourite animals were the pandas, lions, elephants, penguins, hippos, monkeys and giraffes. As we walked around we came up with lots of adjectives to describe them and lots of the children even had ago at drawing and labelling the animals. We also enjoyed looking at the beautiful birds and colourful fish. At lunch time we enjoyed our yummy picnics and played lots of games with our friends. After a busy day of exploring we were very sleepy and some of the children even had a little sleep on the bus journey home! This week we will be busy writing recounts about our trip and it is lovely to hear all the positive things that the children have to say about their day.
