EAL Students Write Ghost Stories

21 November 2017

On Monday 20 November the Year 8 PET students had the opportunity to read to their peers the ghost stories they had worked on in class, in the haunting atmosphere created in the Studio Theatre.

The dark room, music, background photos and the smoke from the smoker, provided the perfect stage for our readers, who gave many of us a scare! There were even a few screams!

The students thoroughly enjoyed the experience and acknowledgement received.

“I really enjoyed reading in the smoke. Jacqueline’s scream scared me most! I hope we could have a similar activity again.” Heloise

“I really enjoyed the ghost story telling. And…I think my screaming was pro! It was actually scary!” Jacqueline

“I really liked Jacqueline’s screaming. It was very scary with the picture and smoke behind her.” Kimberly

“It was a great experience to read my story to somebody else in a dark room with scary music.” Eric

“I loved reading my story with Avengers background music. Lorenzo’s was the scariest story!” Tony

“ I thought Lorenzo’s story was the scariest because he managed to scare us. I also enjoyed reading my own story in the dark and listening to the ghost stories.” Jerry

“I thought the lesson was awesome and scary because we screamed while listening to stories and the smoke around us made it sooo scary!” Lorenzo

“I thought the background music was so hair-raising. It was the most scary time at BISS Puxi. I want to write a ghost story again.” Matthew

“It was scary and surprised and frightened me…especially Lorenzo’s story and scream.” Jihan.
