Physics Week Celebration

08 March 2017

Last week we celebrated Physics Week at BISS Puxi with a bake off and a range of other activities.

We were particularly impressed with the contribution from our Year 7 and 8 students for the bake off competition and after a lot of careful thought, Ms Reen declared Nathan Wu the winner with his Sankey diagram cake. Well done to all who entered!

On Tuesday Mr Gale carried out a series of mind blowing Physics demonstrations to a small but enthusiastic crowd and then on Wednesday we enjoyed a documentary screening where a group of Year 7, 8 and 10 students learnt more about our Solar System.

In the special tutor time quiz that was held for Key stage 3 students, Alexander Myrup in Year 9 came first, showing an excellent knowledge of Physics.

Finally, science club joined in the physics fun by making water clocks. The science club is hugely popular at BISS so look out for it in Term 3 if you haven’t been yet.

Thank you to all students who got involved in Physics Week! We will be celebrating Science Week later this month by including lots of fun activities in the bulletin so do look out for those very soon.
