Elemental Con is upon us!

Elemental Con is upon us! The children have, for the last 9 weeks, been engrossed in three challenges set by one of the world's leading universities: MIT.  Their STEAM skills have certainly been stretched to the max.

Every child in the primary school has studied:

  • Extreme Exposure - students have considered an environment they would like to explore—perhaps one they've never dared to look into before—then learnt  about the tools needed to do that. Some year groups have incorporated a design element here too.
  • A Different Lens - students have created images with new perspectives that engage and inform viewers. They have captured images and develop their imaging skills.
  • The Picture of Health - students defined problems of significance for humans and came up with a variety innovative solutions.

Each phase have taken on these three challenges and looked at them in a unique way.

  • EYFS – Water
  • Y1 & 2 – Fire
  • Y3 & 4 – Wind
  • Y5 & 6 – Earth

During Elemental Con on the 6 December (2.00pm-3.00pm), we invite you to explore the whole school to see the amazing work the children have been doing. Upper Key Stage 2 and EYFS will be displaying their work in the Primary Sports Hall; Year 4 in the Da Vinci Centre; Year3 in Stage One and the Key Stage 1 children in the Key Stage 1 corridor.

Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you!
