This week we will be focusing on Non-Fiction texts linked to Plants and Insects. We will identify the features of the different texts and will write labels and captions for the different parts of a plant. We will focus on learning and using lots of new vocabulary.
This week all phonics groups will be reviewing their previous sounds and tricky words.
This week in Maths we will be reviewing our knowledge of number. We will be halving and doubling different quantities and trying to solve word problems. We will also practise our counting, addition and subtraction skills.
We will be beginning our new Theme- ‘Plants and Insects’ The children will take on the role of explorers and investigators and will begin to look at different types of plants and insects. This will also be linked to our Literacy focus.
