Please label all school uniform, snack boxes and water bottle to avoid items getting lost in school. Every child needs to have a water bottle to bring in each day. No glass containers please.

  • In the summer term, please ensure children wear sun hats on hot days to protect them when playing outside.

This week we will continue to develop our understanding of letter writing by finalising our emails and sending them on to our chosen contacts. This will be linked to our Themed Learning topic. We will then introduce the genre of adventure stories by asking children to bring in their favourite adventure book.

In Maths the children will be learning about data. We will look at Venn and Carrol diagrams as well as pictograms. We will explore collating large data and the different ways we can present and analyse it.

Themed Learning

Children will finalise their emails and send them off to their chosen contact and will await their replies! Children will then develop their understanding of programming by using WEDO Lego. They will work with a partner to create and adapt different objects that will later inspire some adventure stories of their own.

The children will be learning how to make positive choices. They will be working in small groups to complete a number of challenges that test their abilty to work effectively in a team.

Literacy – paragraphs, dear, yours faithfully, yours sincerely.

Maths– tally,pictogram, bar graph, data
